The Duomo of Milan with its Madonnina, the undisputed symbol of Milan and a true masterpiece of Gothic architecture, it is the most important Gothic church in northern Italy.
With Duomo Pass you’d have free access to the cathedral, being able to admire the 3500 statues and the magnificent stained glass windows.
But there is much more than it seems: the terraces of the Duomo are probably one of the most suggestive locations in Milan. Reach the terraces via an elevator, where you can admire the sculptures and spiers up close, and by climbing 50 more steps you could reach the highest terrace where the golden statue of the Madonnina, protector of the city, is located.
Most interesting is that few people know what is underneath the cathedral: visit the archaeological area to rediscover the Baptistery of San Giovanni and the church of Santa Tecla. You could also have the opportunity to visit a magnificent example of an octagonal Christian Baptistery, learning aspects of life in Milan during Roman times.
