Perché visitare Interlaken
Interlaken is located in the Bernese Oberland, at the foot of three famous European peaks (Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau), on a flood plain between Lake Thun and Lake Brienz. Its toponym "Interlaken" derives from its position between the two lakes.
The town had considerable development in the nineteenth century when it became an international tourist destination thanks to its landscapes and at that time it was frequented by important personalities such as Goethe and Lord Byron.
The center of Interlaken is characterized by the Honeweg, a 700m artery where luxury brand boutiques, watchmakers, jewelers and exclusive hotels overlook.
Its particular location makes it an excellent starting point for various tourist destinations in the region such as the Jungfrau which boasts the highest railway system in Europe and the entire ski area in the area.
