Leaving Milan, your coach will take you to St. Moritz, a world-renowned luxury resort town in the Engadin Valley. Surrounded by pristine lakes and towering peaks, St. Moritz offers a wealth of outdoor activities and cultural attractions. After a visit to the town, you’ll embark on your journey along the famous Bernina route, a UNESCO World Heritage railway line.
The train follows the Albula Line, also a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the first leg of the Glacier Express. This route is known for its engineering marvels and breathtaking landscapes. As the train departs from St. Moritz, it traverses lush valleys, picturesque Swiss villages, and winding rivers.
The journey ascends through the Albula Pass, offering panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and forests. The route features numerous viaducts and tunnels, including the iconic Landwasser Viaduct, an architectural masterpiece that spans a deep gorge with its distinctive curved design.
The train passes through the charming village of Bergün, known for its traditional Swiss architecture and stunning alpine setting, before reaching Preda, the highest point on the line. From there, the descent begins towards Chur, Switzerland’s oldest city.
Your journey ends in Chur or Thusis, where you will board your coach back to Milan.
