In 2015 the Skyway Monte Bianco was inaugurated, a cable car that now includes 3 stations: Courmayeur / The Valley (1,300 m), Pavillon / The Mountain (2,173 m) and Punta Helbronner / The Sky (3,466 m).
Courmayeur was one of the first towns in the Alps to have had a tourist development, based, even before the advent of mountaineering, on its many thermal springs.
