Description

Milan, if you look for a place with the right balance of old-world romance and contemporary cosmopolitan atmosphere, this is the perfect city for you. Not to mention that it’s home to one of the most famous masterpieces of Leonardo Da Vinci: The Last Supper.

The delicate nature of this mural allows the entry for a few people at the time, which makes it extremely rare to find a ticket and sometimes those are sold out even several months before. But we guarantee, you won’t stand in the crowd trying to catch only a glimpse of it.

This Skip the Line Tour of the Best of Milan includes this difficult to obtain pre-booked entrance, guaranteeing exclusive no line entry and an intimate viewing of the legendary Last Supper.

However there is so much more to discover about this city, some of the world’s finest architects have contributed over the centuries and  there is no better way to discover all the facets of this metropolis than with a walking tour.

One of our professional guides, will walk you through some of the most memorable architectonic gems of Milan, starting with the medieval castle – Castello Sforzesco – once house of the ruling family, the mighty Sforza dynasty, and its court which included renomated artists, among which Bramantino and Leonardo Da Vinci himself, who decorated the frescos of the Sala Delle Asse. Now the castles hosts several museums and art collections.

Passing through Via Dante and Piazza Mercanti, which once welcomed merchants from all over the world, you would admire a breathtaking view of Milan’s Cathedral – Duomo, one of the world’s largest, most striking gothic cathedrals. Our guide will explain you why it took half a millenium to finish the 135 spires and 3,200 statues, crammed onto the roof and facade of the building.

You could see it more closely when we approach, Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II shopping gallery, a 19th century glass vaulted shopping arcade. Brimming with fashionable shops and cafes, it is often called the ‘salotto di Milano’ or ‘Milan’s drawing room’ for its importance over the years and today as a common meeting point for the people of Milan.

Crossing the gallery, we would enter a wide square which is home to the prestigious Opera House, where some of the world’s greatest musicians and opera singers have performed including Pavarotti and Giuseppe Verdi – La Scala. Including in this package, we are happy to offer you a 24h entry ticket, so you can spend some more time exploring the theatre and its museum, at the end of our tour.

For the cherry on top, we will conclude our walking tour at Santa Maria delle Grazie, house of the UNESCO Wold Heritage “The Last Supper”, where you will have a fast access thanks to your skip the line ticket. A perfect way to end your deep dive in the Milanese architectural and art experience.
