Discover the beautiful Cinque Terre! A UNESCO World Heritage site, Cinque Terre, meaning ‘five lands’ (Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza and Monterosso) are five perilously perched villages strung along a short stretch of cliffs that face the Liguria Sea on one of Italy’s most scenic stretches of coastline.
Pastel-colored houses, perched on the rocks of five villages, the crystal blue water of the bay and a flash of green of the hills behind.
A few words to describe one of the most suggestive landscapes of North Italy, Cinque Terre.
A world heritage site protected by UNESCO, a national park composed of five villages strung on a short stretch of cliffs, in the beautiful coastline of Liguria, would make you madly fall in love with Italy.
Leaving Milan, you arrive directly at the Cinque Terre and via a scenic route on the coast you reach Manarola, one of the most scenic villages huddled on and down the sides of a rocky outcrop, with the tall colourful houses leading down to a small harbour. Here you will have some free time to discover the village, explore local flavours and visit the 13th century Church of San Lorenzo with its Gothic facade.
Before lunch we’ll catch a train to our next stop: Monterosso al mare, the biggest of the five villages. You will have some free time to admire the remains of middle age fortifications in the old village, built back in time to protect the area from the frequent pirate attacks; or have a lovely seafront promenade to encounter the huge statue of Neptune, a concrete and iron colossus that was built by Arrigo Minerbi and Francesco Levacher in the early 20th century.
But Cinque Terre is not only a place to visit, it also has to be seen.
To leave you breathless, a 90 minutes boat cruise will take you along the Cinque Terre, giving you the chance to admire the castle of Portovenere from the sea and savor the same sea breeze of the traders of the past.
After this memorable experience, you will arrive at La Spezia where your coach will be waiting for you, then you can relax and take a rest until your arrival back to Milan.

Wonderful tour, but the tour guide could be better.
The day tour to Cinque Terre was outstanding. The day was long but there was a balance of self time, tour time, and quiet time. I had a wonderful day and the weather was outstanding as well.
I liked it! 5 stars!
