There is no better way to observe the majesty of the Swiss Alps, than on the legendary Bernina Express train.

Imagine yourself, admiring the fairy-tale alpine landscape on board of carriages equipped with opening windows to enjoy the mountain air and activate all your senses, to fully immerse yourself in the surrounding nature.

On a 100 years old railroad route, today protected by the UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, from the Bernina Pass to the luxurious Saint Moritz, our guide will deep dive you in the history of this fascinating Swiss territory.

Your adventure among the stunning landscapes of the Alps will depart from Tirano, a small but ancient town already inhabited since prehistoric times (as shown by the recovered rock engravings), crossing the helical stone bridge in Brusio, a bold and spectacular engineering work, and through the Bernina Pass (2253 meters above the sea level) into the Engadin Valley before arriving at the spectacular St. Moritz.

Along the way you will pass wild gorges and icy glaciers, cross soaring bridges and shoot through loop tunnels. An indescribable experience, impossible to transmit through photos or video.

At the end of your journey you will have the chance to admire one last time the Swiss Alps by sipping the famous Swiss hot chocolate at the best chocolate house in Switzerland and have a walk in the luxurious St.Moritz before returning to Milan in a comfortable coach where, exhausted by an overload of emotions, you will be able to have a quiet rest.

We took this day trip out of Milan and loved the beautiful views of the bus ride past Lake Como, the town of Tirano, and of course the amazing Bernina Express. Words cannot do the views justice.

Magnificent, unfortunately we where told both sides of the train you can see equaly see. This is not the case. If you go on this trip make sure you sit on the right hand side of the train as this has the most spectacular sites and when these sites arrive people from countries I won't mention all stand up blocking peoples view sitting on the left hand side. People can be very rude and selfish. Me, me I and to buggery with the rest of you. Please look into this as it was the only disappointment of a unbelievable trip. By the way it was the first time I have ever seen snow and what an engineering feat the rail line is.

While St.Moritz was breath-taking, I felt the early morning start a bit unreasonable. We had a hotel pick-up at 6am and returned close to 8pm. Very long and the number of stops was unnecessary. A stop for lunch would have been the most reasonable. At 2 stops, it as insisted we leave bus to go into the coffee shop or tour the church. we could not choose to stay on the bus if we didn't want anything. At the end of the day, all we wanted was to return to our hotel with lovely memories of the Alps.
